Dr. Amy Miranda Sharma is a Scientist/Toxicologist in Safety Assessment, Early Development at Genentech. She is the nonclinical safety lead and lead toxicologist for several large and small molecule biotherapeutics from research to clinical development in various therapeutic areas. Her areas of focus include oncology, immunology and neuroimmunology. Dr. Sharma received her doctorate in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Toronto with a focus on immunotoxicololgy and idiosyncratic adverse drug reactions. She also performed her post-doctoral training in the lab of Dr. Ruslan Medzhitov at Yale University where she focused on innate control of adaptive responses. Prior to joining Genentech, Dr. Sharma worked as a Toxicologist and Project Lead at Amgen in the oncology and neuroscience space. Dr. Sharma has over 10 years of experience as a toxicologist. She is author of 10 peer-reviewed journal articles and has given over 20 external presentations/conference chair positions.
